Stereo Meter is a simple and easy-to-use audio file player designed for monitoring stereo audio signals with accurate visual metering. The application features independent left and right segmented digital display meters that provide a clear real-time representation of audio levels during playback. Dedicated clip indicators help identify peak levels and potential distortion, making it useful for quickly checking audio files before delivery or archiving.
A built-in clip counter tracks the total number of “over” events detected during playback and displays the count in an easy-to-read text field. The counter can be reset at any time by simply clicking the displayed number. For convenience, the Clip warning indicator remains illuminated for three seconds after a clipping event is detected, making brief peaks easier to spot without having to watch the meters continuously.
In addition to level monitoring, Stereo Meter displays important technical information about the loaded audio file, including bit depth, sample rate, and bit rate. This allows users to quickly verify file specifications while listening and monitoring signal levels.
